Mrs.Linde helps Nora In a special way.. And that is by going to confront Krogstad to try and get back the letter he send Helmer. But Mrs.Linde doesn't find him anywhere and Nora gets very worried about everything hoping Helmer doesn't open the mailbox. Nora try's getting all of Helmers attention by telling him she cant do Tarantella dance and Helmer teaches her everything it states "Torvald begins to coach Nora in the dance, but she doesn’t listen to him and dances wildly and violently." (Ibsen 202) in the other hand before everything she tells Mrs.Linde what she has done and Mrs.Linde try's helping her as much as she can because Nora doesn't want a Disreputable reputation if anyone else knows about what she did.
- If you were Nora would you have thought about Killing you self and acting all crazy if Helmer was to find out what happen?
- Do you think that what Mrs.Linde does to help Nora is very nice of her instead of letting Nora do it her self?
- If you were Nora , Instead of thinking of taking your life away would you tell Helmer what you did and face the consequence?
- And instead of flirting with the family best friend just be straight up and tell Dr.Rank you need help paying a debt ?

I would just tell Helmer the truth about everything just to get over with it because maybe Helmer might forgive her but he also might get mad at here and embarrassed about the thought that Nora has a job.
ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, it's not worth killing myself because as bad as the situation Nora is in she wouldn't be able to share her side of the story. Torvald would be able to only hear Krogstads side. She should face the consequences of her actions and having Mrs.Linde try to help her didnt help at all. Mrs. Linde should not have offered to help Nora because she should get the letter back herself and not drag people into the huge mess.

ReplyDeleteIf it were me I wouldn't kill myself and I would've told Torvald and have faced the consequences. It's so dumb of Nora to even think about killing herself because of this. It shows that she's not grown up and mature enough to own up to her own actions.
ReplyDeleteFirst I would like to say the scene with Nora flirting with Dr. Rank was disgusting!. I thought Nora should've been straight to the point with him so he wouldn't get any ideas. I also think if I was Nora I would own up to my actions and not kill myself because still nothing would be resolved.
ReplyDeleteYes I agree that Nora isn't acting the right way because of the way she was flirting with Dr. rank right away I knew that she lost feelings for Helmer and that they aren't meant for each other .
